September 14th 2009
Schools a lot harder this year. My teachers aren't bad, I just don't like there style. I wish teachers addressed every learning style, because I unlike other people don't learn well by using visuals. Like today in math our notes of consisted of a chart, and my teacher flew through it because we could print it off of edline...that doesn't work for me, i need to write things down to understand it. I don't know, i just wish teachers could be more flexible with somethings. And i wish some of them were more approachable. I know the teachers who are willing to help out no matter what, but some of my teachers just do the bare minimum for their students. If we have to go to school and do there work they should be there to help us whenever...don't fly out the door at 2:30 because thats when you can leave. ugh its going to take time to get used to this year.

Balancing Act

September 13th 2009
Back to school is a crazy time of year. I've learned throughout high school you just have to learn with balancing everything. Balance the school work with sports, family time vs friend time, life just gets complicated once we hit September. It's great to get back into a rhythm but i just want one weekend that i don't need to worry about when a papers due, or what time a game is this week. It is alot to handle, and i wish i was more organized. I guess that's another goal for the year, keep my life organized. I want to be able to stay on a schedule, and not get off task, but come on...school work just isn't as fun as going out with friends. So my sundays consist of doing homework and projects while listening to the NFL in the background. welcome back to school...

September 11th 2009
Today in history we were talking about imperialism, when Mr.Paulus asked the class if we ever thought about the day when the United States wouldn't be considered a super power. I honestly have never even thought about something like that. Great Britain years ago was number one, and soon they faded out, when will the U.S and who will conquer us? Scary stuff.
And in soccer I am very proud of the way the JV team played. I guess if you practice strong you do play better in games. And my hope for the team is just to improve, to challenge ourselves against the bigger teams like Medway and Holliston. It's going to take a lot of time, but it's worth it in the end.

always remembered, never forgotten RIP people who died in 2001.<3<3<3

Rachel's Challenge

September 10th 2009
So I'm new to blogging so I'm trying to figure out how all this works. Today was Rachel's challenge, and I can't believe how everything was. Craig was so calm and collected, he really did an amazing job. Walking into Medway I had no clue what to expect, honestly I thought we were going to be lectured about unity and all this boring stuff. Boy was I wrong. Everything was sad, imagine being in a fight with someone and never being able to apologize. Or imagine having to sign a casket instead of a year book. Every little piece of today is seared into my memory. even though we laughed and we cried, I believe everyone sitting in the auditorium today changed in some way. All we need are those random acts of kindness to start that chain reaction. Just like Rachel i believe one person can make a difference, and I will never be labeled as average.
